This song is almost typical Springsteen. Workmanlike, solid, and grows on you in time. But then, so beautifully reworked in 2008 with a flourish in Dublin. Springsteen with violins! Who would have thunked it! And the divergence of voices.
Just such a special song for me at so many levels. As a tribute. As a work of collaborative beauty. Of joy, of hope, even amidst the deepest of sadness.
