GMT Psychology
Peter Trask is a psychologist based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia. His private practice trades as “GMT Psychology”. He is pleased to be able to provide a combination of face-to-face, home visits and videoconferencing services.
Peter works with adolescents and adults of all ages. He provides a range of psychotherapy services including treatment for trauma, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, stress and sport psychology.
Peter is also a fully registered NDIS behaviour support practitioner, and so is able to undertake functional behaviour assessments, develop positive behaviour support plans (PBSP) and provide the related training to support workers. He is also registered with the NDIS to develop and implement these PBSPs for clients who are subject to restrictive practices.
GMT-Psychology is also a growing provider of behaviour support services in the NDIS, Aged Care and recently, the Child Safety sector. Accordingly, we have recently expanded to include three other behaviour support practitioners, each of those people with at least an undergraduate degree in psychology and with substantial industry and life experience. Therefore, we will soon be launching our specialist behaviour support services under a new brand name, allowing us to offer this service to an ever expanding portfolio of clients on the Sunshine Coast and beyond. Please stay tuned for that imminent change in early 2025.
Meantime, for mainstream (non-NDIS) clients, Peter believes strongly in helping people help themselves, and so particularly likes working with clients that are motivated and ready to change. Passion, compassion and courage are key aspects of his collaborative client work.
Key interests for Peter include sport, music, travel, current affairs, exercise, family, small-businesses and nature. He loves to learn and continues to do so, with special interest in neuroscience and the never ending wonder of the human mind and related behaviour.
